When we say "MY GOAL IS ACHIEVED", it usually refers to the goal we had when we started out investing.
Investing during different stages in life means different goals-the graduate just into his/her first job will have a very different goal as compared to someone whose children are just starting school for instance. Across different stages in life, goals will differ. Mutual funds can play an important role when it comes to facilitating such goals as there is a broad spectrum of categories to choose from. Human wants are infinite: so when we say "my goal is achieved". It usually refers to the goal we had when we started out investing. Goats, as we all know, can be short term or long term, but in either case, once achieved, the obvious thing to do is to identify and set new investment goals.
